We are winding up our trip to Dallas and have spent the time with Simon and his family. Sunday, Monday and Tuesday has meant beautiful weather with daytime temperatures reaching 21 degrees and very sunny. We have visited a number of parks and done a few good walks. Sunday we went to Lewisville. We miss the coffee shops attached to the parks we have back in Australia. On Monday Steve and Christine went to Grapevine Mills DFO to try and retrieve the taxes ...

Today was a trip to a State Park about 1 hour's drive north of Coppell. Ray Roberts Lake State Park has a 29000 acre reservoir supporting many water activities. The weather was nice and sunny but the wind kept it cool - about 16. The park has many camping sites allowing for walking and ...

Antigua to Dallas. Another very early start rising at 4.30am for a 5am pick up. Antigua is a 45 minute drive to Guatemala City airport. As the roads get incredibly busy it is advised to leave as early as possible as later in the day the trip can take up to 2 hours. We had breakfast at ...

... Asian elephants, giraffes, African penguins and the mountain lions. The male lion let out a very loud roar when he got up and stretched. We viewed a bald eagle which was a huge bird as were the vultures. The Texas area was an old western town which we walked through before viewing the local animals including the rattlesnake. Thankfully in a very secure glass enclosure. They were very sleepy as it was so ...
