    ... something I'd not had before and something totally American. So biscuits and gravy it was. So the biscuits are basically a savoury scone and the gravy is kind of like a cheesy white sauce.     ... than normal for the time of year. Getting sun-withdrawal symptoms and wanting to warm up a bit, we continued west having to miss out on our stop in Mississippi. A shame, because reputedly Meridian has the best ice cream in the land (and we all know which crew member loves ice cream)!
