The trip home went as planned and nothing very unexpected happened. Under occasional sprinkles I dropped the car , which is much easier in the new terminal; they now have an rental office outside the terminal. The old procedure was a bit strange. All the car rental desks were in the secured arrival zone. So to drop off a car, one had to go in the outdoor (posted "no entry") pass the Forex bureaus and find a staff member who would ...

From Roswell we drive to Carlsbad Caverns. The caverns are on the Unesco world heritage list, so we decide to pay them a visit. Located 250 meters under ground are loads of stalagmites, stalactites, draperies, soda straws and popcorn. Soda straws being the tiny ones hanging from the ceiling . In Europe we call them Spaghetti. Popcorn are located on the ground. The cavern is beautiful, but we saw an even more beautiful cavern in Slovenia last year, so were a little spoilt. ...

... Makes this Mama and Baba very happy. Auntie Phuong, Uncle Jeremy, Bennet, Ruby, and Story did not make it until after Addy went to bed, so they met her the next morning. Bennet was first to wake up. Addy was so excited to meet Bennet. She kept signaling for Bennet to come downstairs. They enjoyed some cartoons with Baba before everyone else woke up. ... seasoning and Guinness whilst I chopped veggies and our host fired up the grill. Tortillas were heated on the hob using a homemade contraption, custom built for the task. The fajitas were delicious, with a charred, smoky flavour, accompanied by some Mexican rice which Zeke showed me how to make. Crashing on his sofa (after all, we were couchsurfing) and an airbed, we quickly drifted off after the long day.
