... to say, a coffee at McDonalds at Athlone. Finally got to Galway (I snoozed in the car) and with Stephen's expert driving and navigation skills we found a spot called Salthill right on the bay with some of the most spectacular views ever. We wet our boot rims in the Atlantic and I took tons of photos -couldn't resist the light. Then we went up the street to a place called the Gourmet Tart co. to get something to eat. ... 30 and headed south for Mystic Seaport. As a child, my Mom would spend summers in Mystic, so it was special for me to go back to Connecticut and see my roots (sort of). I had visited the seaport when I was young, but wanted to revisit it as an adult!
