... to say, a coffee at McDonalds at Athlone. Finally got to Galway (I snoozed in the car) and with Stephen's expert driving and navigation skills we found a spot called Salthill right on the bay with some of the most spectacular views ever. ... 30 and headed south for Mystic Seaport. As a child, my Mom would spend summers in Mystic, so it was special for me to go back to Connecticut and see my roots (sort of).
