... Houston about 4:15 and going in was OK, but then we had to drive through and out. That put a crimp in our time, but not too badly. There was only one time when we actually had to stop. By the time we left Houston in the rear view, it was close to 6pm and getting dark, but we kept pushing on.
We arrived at Gulf Coast RV Resort in Beaumont about 7pm and had to hook up in the dark, but we did and got everything inside settled. Now it's time for a good night sleep.
Good morning! Almost good afternoon. We arrived safely in Houston last night and enjoyed our one-night stay at the Embassy Suites. We woke up leisurely, enjoyed our breakfast and made our way to check out. Next we made a quick stop at the Att store so Risa could get her phone updated and have her line transferred to her original phone number. ... out, so I went to a few beer and wine tastings. They have the best wine in the area, from what I have sampled so far. I went to a couple local crossfit gyms, to see what they were like. So far, so good, and I might join one. I think I want to check out some of the other gyms first though. In the mean time, I will go to the free saturday sessions! Not much really to write about today. Had brunch & a quick look around the Museum of Louisiana, the exhibits on Hurricane Katrina & the Mardi Gras. We both wish we had a bit more time to explore this lively & characterful city, anyway onwards we must go. We hit the interstate highway again heading west, more loonng bridges & swampland.
