... at the place where the river disappears underground. I then took a bike ride down the Sinkhole trail and saw several sink holes and a beautiful Cypress creek bottom. Followed the trail all the way to the river and saw deer, squirrels and hawks on the way. Simply beautiful though it would probably be a bit hot and muggy in the summer.

... wanted to rename me. Now Mom liked Le Shah and I was ok with it but apparently we were in the minority. Birds and other Strange Critters

We've seen lots of birds (cardinals - like lots of them - and woodpeckers) and the usual squirrels, a strange toad and a very colorful lizard (didn't get the camera out in time). It was black with a large white stripe down the tail which was bright blue. Very interesting. It was shaped like a skink but sure wasn't colored like one.

After 6.5 hours of driving we arrived at Falling Water State Park in Chipley Fl. It is between Tallahassee and Pensacola Fl. We had dinner, took a nice walk in the woods, sat outside and read for a bit and then got a good nights rest to be ready next days drive.

The Falls unfortunately were a trickle due to Florida's drought. But it was a beautiful place ...
