e) and intend to score at least 100 points in the "Big Money Rally" by photographing my bike in front of various courthouses and landmarks (which will get me off the interstate to see things I might otherwise pass by, really)
Ginger has been dehydrating snacks for me to carry along the way so I don't have to stop so often and can avoid all the fast-food! She makes a mean granola bar ...
... when the government had shut down & national parks were closed - -
the parkway itself was open, but the campgrounds, visitor centers, etc
were all closed.... meaning traffic was light, there were no campers,
travel trailers, or tour busses - - when will that ever happen again
during leaf-season?? Lol!))
So, now it's on to 2014 - - my 50th birthday year... and my fantastic wife ...
... happened to be in the bedroom at the time. It seems a 120v outlet had shorted out - behind the clothes hamper - therefore we didn't see it earlier. Anyway, we replaced the outlet and headed down the road. On the positive side, it is 58 degrees in Adairsville, Ga., with the top down and cruising through town looking for a church for tomorrow. All in all, it's been a good ...
It now appears that my one suitcase has morphed into two
and one "mission bag" to accommodate the supplies for the children. I
guess I'll be dealing with checking bags after all. Seems there are lots of
donated items to be carried to our friends in Camacari too. I have donated some
