As the evening wore on, I developed a migraine, and Aunt Marie gave me an ice pack for my eyes, and I took some melatonin, and went to sleep early-ish. We had an early start the next morning to get to church in Fort Lauderdale on time. We said our good-byes, and hit the road.
Left a day later than expected but are on our way North out of Florida. Feels good to be back on Max. We are looking forward to a restful, interesting Summer. Our first stop is in Ohio for our nephews wedding. It will be good to see family again and spend time with my son and his family.

We enjoyed our 1.5 mile walk along the grassy trail surrounded by swampy grasslands on both sides, with birds swooping all around us and gators RIGHT on the edge of the trail.
