Left a day later than expected but are on our way North out of Florida. Feels good to be back on Max. We are looking forward to a restful, interesting Summer. Our first stop is in Ohio for our nephews wedding. It will be good to see family again and spend time with my son and his family.

... and extremely sunny. We thought we’d seen plenty of gators the day before, but were wrong. There must have been 50 gators in plain view sunning themselves, a few of them less than a foot off of the side of the trail (I quickly ushered Erik past these).
