We then went to a lighthouse museum that was really neat. We strolled around the pier and looked at all the massive yachts. We were fortunate to see a dolphin surface in the water right off the pier! I was too slow on the draw to get a picture.
Tomorrow the kids and Karen want to go see a free Candice Glover concert. She won American Idol last year.
... for a walk last night- lots of new smells and we went to something called a beach! I wasn't too interested in the water, but there were LOTS of small crab scurrying around. We went here on a side trip from Hilton Head, as we read a Conde Nast Traveller magazing, that desribed it as the best hotel anywhere. Well, you have to check that out, donīt you??
The arrival was pretty impressive. At a gate, a guard checked our names, told us to drive a further four miles, and handed us a CD to listen to en route. It would tell us about the resort....nice.

and yes, this is winter. Tomorrow the south will awaken to sunshine,
blue skies, and mild weather but it will still be winter. Tomorrow
things will start to improve but the memory of this storm will linger
As we walk along the beach today,
wrapped and bundled against the wind and cold, I wonder if the ocean
knows or even cares that it is winter?
