... arrived in the late afternoon. The Knife and Fork Inn restaurant had great reviews and we were lucky enough to get a reservation that night. The food and atmosphere were great but unfortunately it turned out to be the highlight of our weekend … After dinner we walked to the boardwalk. The Inn was not in the main area and on our way we walked past a huge hotel and casino that was abandoned. The boardwalk is extremely long but you can’t see the ocean from the ...

... it shows everywhere. We saw almost no chains at all, not even Wal Marts. No billboards. The people were friendly and healthy looking. We saw almost no lawyer offices, doctor offices, hospitals, etc., and farms were everywhere. The scenery was spectacular and the covered bridges were amazing (Note Emily and Martin as well as the above mentioned).

We spent $1,627.49 on this trip going over our saved envelope amount by about $200. Not bad.

... for the first time as well. It is a form of preparation over open fire often on skewers. We had the Kobe beef and OMG it was AMAZING. We ordered a second portion. It was a great meal with great friends and I really enjoyed it. ...

Our return trip to AC was fun. It was Orlando (my boss), Stacey (His GF) and Adam who came this time. Me and Adam stayed at Harrahs and Stacey and Orlando stayed at the Gold Nugget. But they wished they stayed at Harrahs, they ended up gambling at our casino the whole time anyways. Once again, I ...

... the summer- Hope everyone reading this will consider another visit with us here in Tuscaloosa. I've committed to working here for three years and I know there is always the "new baby syndrome"- Oooh- a new disaster (like Sandy) -let's go over there. In the mean time, the old babies still need attention. 5000 homes destroyed here in April 2011. We're only on number 25. Still a way to go down here. Come on back (and bring a friend) Love you all. Peter.
