Socks was born on May 10, 1995 in Tallahassee, FL. He was our daughter's cat - a "college cat." We adopted him in 1996.
In 2007, Socks was diagnosed with Leukemia which was in remission. However, in the past ten days he hadn’t been feeling well. An ultrasound revealed that his Leukemia had spread to Lymphoma. Three veterinarians including Dr. Rossi from MA suggested that we put Socks to sleep since he had 3-6 months max to live and to avoid ...

College Station, Texas, United States socksLeft Arlington, TX early in the morning. Heavy rain predicted later on in the morning, definitely wanted to leave before the rain. Ran into rain anyway so it took longer than usual. Texas received heavy rain the past 2 weeks that caused severe flooding in the Dallas / Houston area, of course this is where we are .
College Station, Texas, United States socksI guess this was the main reason I came back at this time for vacation. On the plus side - got to see the whole family in one place over a couple of days.
Outside of having to dress up in a tux, it was a good time. And my rental car even got into the wedding.
Made a quick stop by the Traveling Aggies office to make sure everything was taken care of for my Peru / Machu Picchu vacation next year. I was a little worried trying to do everything from across the pond.
Looks like it will be a good trip & I got the names of the other travellers.
Met up with another high school friend living in College Station. Conveniently, his kids were playing flag football at the same time as my brother's step-son.
Then off to the hotel. My suite on the top floor, right next to the Hilton emblem.
This year I only get to make one football game from Scotland. The Aggies are playing Oklahoma State. Krista is able to make her annual game as well. Not sure if the win streak will continue - every game she has gone to over the years, the Aggies have won.
Update - well, the streak is over. Wasn't as close as the final score. But it was a good day out, even if the weather wasn't as nice as forecasted.

... to our journey... off to Dublin I say! And not just because the town has an Irish name, but because it is the birthplace of bottled Dr. Pepper! Which we do enjoy, but more, we have friends who are kind of loco over this drink. We thought it would be fun to bring back some souvenirs. Like 6-packs of ORIGINAL RECIPE bottled Dr. Peppers. Turns out that the drink that you've all been enjoying isn't the real deal ...
College Station, Texas, United States adeana... about Haiti. to answer her i actually had to put into words my thoughts and feelings about all this. i said that she has to decide for herself but here is how i did it. no place that the pc goes is going to be tranquil, all the places need help, you have to trust your gov to know when to pull you out(oh heavens trust your gov)and trust your sense of self preservation (if not your gov) on when it is time to walk. also, it is an adventure and all adventure holds ...
