... where you can see about 100 miles in each direction. There were giant thunderstorms building in the distance with colossal grey curtains of water falling to the earth; every once in a while an ominous lightning strike was visible on the horizon. I made it to Oklahoma City at the same exact moment as one of these storms and ran into my hotel just minutes before the drenching rainfall started; it rained so much the hotel pool overflowed (as they say in Malaysia, rain +++)!
of course the weather was either raining, foggy,chilly and windy the first five days of our week that we were here. during one of the bad weather days, we went to the Brownsville flea market, great deals and very large, i'd say just as good as the florida ones. we also visited a rv/moble home resort in donna. it was beautiful, gated, restaurant,pool, community room as nice as a nice hotel, and a craft ...
the final throws of our time here in Paradise, and we are starting to clean up

Man as much as I have enjoyed it here, the

the food and the service in the restaurant is not really the best, although
everyone seemed to enjoy the Pork Tenderloin sandwich, but my ½ lb. Angus
burger, which Angie and I shared, along with a draft Bud was quite
disappointing, compared to some of the great eateries here in the Valley. Look
out Riverside, because they are working on rebuilding and reviving the now
famous Pepe’s on ...
... in this life. Cristian was regaling us with stories about his grandmother, who was huge in the circus scene. I wish I’d had a chance to meet her; she seemed like a pretty amazing woman.
