        Our cruise ship (The Pearl, NCL) was in port before we woke up.

        Our friends picked us up at the curb as we disembarked and took us for breakfast at Lowell's in Seattle's Pike Place Market. We had a good view of the harbor and good conversation with friends.

        We were dropped off at the Bremerton Ferry pier and away we went. Our taxi was waiting for us and we got back to the RV in just 12 minutes.

        ... place on the walls. Apparently this fad started with a fancy music hall in the alley that wouldn't let patrons inside if they had gum. So they would take it out on put it on the walls before they went inside. Since then it caught on and everyone does it for fun. There was even a marriage proposal in the gum.         There are some famous falls outside Portland which Cathy and I were determined to see before heading for Washington State. It was Labor Day holiday and so everyone decided that they would head in a similar direction. A huge accident had closed the freeway which sent us detouring through the outskirts of Portland.
