After Las Vegas we went to L.A for 16 days,while there we did the theme parks.Knotts berry farm,universal studios,disneyland and my fave six flags magic mountain.We also did a day tour of hollywood and the stars homes.

Well, after a wonderful sleep in a real bed (instead of the plane), we set off for Disneyland and were there by 9.00 am. Good timing. Heaps of people, but heaps more came. We soon cottoned on to the "fast pass" system, which shortens up waiting times in queues.

We got on to the right rides at the right time, and did them in a good order, so that were actually were building up in speed (and fun), without realising it. Started off with the Matterhorn, then did Thunder Mountain, Splash M...

Hello all. We have begun our "holiday of a lifetime" - our big USA adventure. We are travelling with our good friends - the Edmends. This has been such a long planned trip that we were all bursting with anticipation upon waking up this morning. With bags packed and ready to go, we made our way to Tulla bound for Sydney & then to LA. We all really enjoyed the flight to LA.. This morning we awoke to blue skies for our 1st day of Disneyland adventure. What a place it is !! With everyone so friendly and the queues not too bad for most of the rides, we had great fun, but very tired legs.
The highlights of our 1st day would have to be :
- Meeting 3 Princesses, getting autographs & lots of photo's with them
- The Matterhorn Bob-sled ride that the big people screamed more than the little ones
- The incompetent staff at the Disney shop undercharging us ...

Another perfect day's weather saw us have a bit of a sleep in (unintentional) & get to the Park at around 10ish, where we went to ToonTown for a special hour with reduced guests before the rest of the tourists descended. Had a great photo opportunity with Minnie Mouse, and looked around the Toon houses of many of the characters.
We then headed over to California Adventure Park (which is part of Disneyland, but next door), and had a great day's fun.

Today was just another magnificent day weather wise. Around 31 degrees with not a cloud in the sky and a light breeze made for great fun-park conditions. We entered Disneyland a bit after 9.00am, and headed straight for the "Finding Nemo" submarine ride, that was very good. We then headed over to Adventure Land and rode the Thunder Mountain Railroad before loving the Indiana Jones ride.
We then had lunch at "Ariel's Grotto" where we met 4 Princesses. Diddy & Darcy were just in awe as p...

Well ... you guessed it. Another perfect day of warm sunny weather saw us start the day having breakfast at a place called "Ihop", a pancakey sort of place. Four of the Knipes then went shoe shopping, whilst Laura and the Edmends headed to Disneyland. We caught them up at around 12 ish and went on a few rides before heading back to the Hotel around 3.30 for a late lunch & few naps & then back to Disneyland from 7.30 to 11.30 pm for a special "Trick or Treat" party.

Our final day at Disneyland was mixed with a lot of pleasure and some sadness as our magical journey full of fun and rides has come to an end. Being a Saturday there was a lot more people than previously, including a sea of gay people wearing red T-shirts emblazened "Gay Days 09 - Anaheim", amongst some other interesting slogans.
We tried a few times to get onto the Indiana Jones ride, but they were having technical issues and although we got close to the front of the line, we didn't quite...

End of day two now. Gee and to update from yesterday. We all know that Rick is challanged but add to his normal challenges to attempt to ensure the technology stuff runs as well as write the updates could be a stretch :) I did so well (I thought AHAH! there is the mistake I started thinking!) but then when I went to upload the info yesterday, it didn't load. So rewrite this morning while the fellow travelers were waiting and then upload it to again lose it!! oh boy, add to that the cordless m...

Well the sleep was wonderful! A little late in starting but a wander to the golden Arches for breaky. I reckon a change is due tomorrow for this guy! Then to the bank to open an account. We did it!! again a very helpful Young lady that understood our requirements and set everything up as required with card access, essential for the three travellers.
