When we last left off, the shore of western Vermont was in sight. Since then we crossed Vermont to stay at a small lake called Ricky's Pond. It was a nice woodsy park with quiet neighbors. ... Today was meant to be a day of hiking and enjoying the beautiful White Mountains, and it was!
