took the train to Taitung, had a great pork chop box lunch at the station, the boarded a free shuttle to the little village of Dulan. Walked to the beach, ate some vietnamese, and hung out at the abandoned Sugar Factory where there are now a bunch of artist studios and a stage for a different band every saturday night... and tonight was saturday!

I basically stayed in Taitung as a base for planning my trip to Green Island. In my Lonely Planet is said that Taitung was not worth visiting because it was too congested and over polluted.
