... The Huepfels left for Walnut Creek to have dinner with Amanda's parents. The rest of us took the cable car back to the wharf (we had tickets left from our aborted trip the day before). We went to the Chowder Hut and sat outside and had diet coke and cocktails. We decided it would be cheaper and easier to take a cab for the return trip. ... to watch out for cyclists! It was certainly a long day of walking - but so worth it!
After we arrived back at the hotel, there was a wine reception in the front lobby. Now normally I don’t drink much wine - but this was free wine….so today I drank wine!
After dinner, we jumped on the cable car again and went to Union Square. Some of the stores were closed, so we will have to revisit this area for some retail therapy!
