Lots and lots of people about when we got up this morning and we also found out why our Hotel is completely full. Disneyland is hosting 5km, 10km & 21km races, with the 5km already raced this morning, 10km 5.30 Sat morning and the 21km 5.30 Sun morning, with something like 40-50,000 participates, so yeah a few more people about. Also the Convention Center just down the road is hosting a Catholic something-a-rather, so another 40-50,000 people about. Anyway ...

... Quicksilver, etc) and moved here about a year ago to open his US office. His wife Wendy and their two children, Carrie and James, met us. Our afternoon was spent at one of the many swimming pools in the complex they stay in, with the most perfect water temperature!

We headed back to their place for a good old South African braai, we were so spoilt, and we even got a room and shower! That night, there was also great excitement, as the children ...

... us has a wee look round the shops. Back on the bus & off to Melrose place, Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive & Sunset Boulevard. We had a 2 hour stop at Santa Monica so went for a wander along the Pier & shops, had a quick drink at a waterfront bar then back on the bus to see Venice Beach and Marina ..... Then back to Anaheim pre dinner drinkies, load of washing & packing. Back to PF Changs for dinner (one of our favourites). Last minute packing then bed ..... ...

We headed back to Disneyland tonight as we are only staying a 5 minute walk away.

We watched the show "Fantasmic" which was a terrific show on the river involving lights, water fountains, explosions, lasers & various Disney characters. It was very well done. Was followed by a fireworks display. Still big crowds but was a fun finish to the ...

... I think we were lucky. I definitely recommend ear plugs if you're a light sleeper like me. They block out the noise of people moving around outside, and the somewhat noisy plumbing. Breakfast was included in the price. Please note, it's very basic. But as a way of filling our bellies and getting us ready for the day it was adequate. There were cereals & yoghurts, pieces of basic fruit (like bananas & apples), bread/bagels to toast, pastries ...
