And, by chance, I came across the Ford Cleveland plant where all the wonderful 351 & 302 Clevelands were made for those few years back in the early '70s - I felt nostalgic for my old 1975 302C powered Ford Fairlane and my 1982 351C powered Ford Bronco. I had a lot of fun in those cars and rarely did I not smile when I drove them!!

I flew out of Seattle today to Cleveland, Ohio to collect my new (for me) 1976 Buick Electra.
I now understand why my friends almost fell off their chairs with laughter when I mentioned 'Cleveland' - there is somewhere that can be colder than Seattle, Washington in Winter! When I arrived and walked out of the airport to get a taxi, I felt little flutterings against my face - it was only when I looked into the light of the nearest light that I realized it was lightly snowing!!

We've got warm and cold weather clothes, hiking gear, an inflatable two-man kayak, bikes, and an itinerary that should satisfy our wanderlust and highlight the varied landscape of the Pacific Northwest. ... tired as we approach Cleveland, but we want to get on the west side of the city before we camp so we don't hit the morning rush going into the city. No time to stop at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, but big cities are always cool to drive through.

to head west into Ohio getting to our campground at about 6 pm.
Tomorrow we will make our way to Tinley Park, Illinois where we will spend the afternoon visiting before continuing our trek west.
