... some quality time with him we wanted to get to know the USS Midway Museum located on the Embarcadero next to the Harbor Drive. Hence, we took both cars and drove down the Market Street until we saw the aircraft carrier. Even if it was big we sort of imagined that it was even bigger. First day, in one of my favourite cities in the world :) and we have 3 of them! One thing you must do when in San Diego is go to the zoo!!!! Has to be the best zoo in the world.... at least I think so. After having a little bit of a sleep in, Jim and I meet downstairs and grab a coffee.
It's pretty easy to get to the zoo, and I know my way around this city pretty well.... still I make Jim drive! Haha!!!! Just kidding ... ...
... there was a lighthouse I wanted to see and it ended up being one of the most beautiful places ever! The lighthouse was super cool and then there was a road leading down to the water where you could climb around on the rocks and the view was so beautiful. There are also TONS of sailboats here...after spending the month of January sailing in Baja California, Mexico all I wanted to do was jump on one of those boats and head out to sea! But ...
... of rides for little kids and some for bigger people too. On the Shipwreck Rapids they got quite wet. Mike and I didn't go on the ride and afterwards found out that you could shoot people on the ride with water cannons. If only we'd known earlier! Luckily it was a warm sunny day and they dried rather quickly although Sea World do provide drying chambers which you can stand in and for only five dollars, they will blow hot air on you.
