Today is our last day in paradise. We decided last night just to take it easy today instead of visiting the San Diego Wild Animal Park. While I LOVE the Animal Park I am more than happy to veg out at the hotel. So, we started out the day with a walk around Coronado. Walking in 70 degree sunny weather by the ocean and into the quaint neighborhoods in Coronado is a perfect way to spend a few morning hours.
... a command telling you where to stand and which line on the floor to follow to the custom booth officer. We had to think fast to remember if South Carolina recognized gay marriages. Alas we remembered the Supreme Court finally got around to making same sex couples legal across the U.S.A. When we both approached the custom’s officer at the same time we quickly realized he was not happy about equality at the custom’s window. But handed over our itemized 161 euro list of oh look ...
... leopards, snakes (yep, even Lee & I looked at a few!), polar & grizzly bears, ROUS's, sloths, takins, hippo, rhino, chimps and so on. It was interesting to watch trainers walk donkeys back & forth in front of the lion & leopard cages to encourage the cats to stalk the animal, keeping their animal instincts from getting lazy! Thank heavens ...
... it were those moments when I was alone either early in the morning or late at night when sleep apnea would set in without mercy and my loneliness would lead to my thoughts and pains. My emotions would dominate.
