So we've been here for a few days now. The days have started with the girls going to the gym here in the Manhattan Club and the boys choosing a route for a walk - which is normally picking a part of Central Park, catching the underground to the furthest spot we need to get to for that day and then walking back. Highlights of the recent days - - ...

We started the day with a Tom returning to the hotel to get more clothes!!! Off to the Bronx today! We decided to check out the Bronx zoo ... really nice zoo, lovely enclosures. We saw a mongoose, a grizzly bear and an 'Australian Magpie' :-) . It was so nice wandering around taking photos of animals again. The train ride into the Bronx was interesting too... lots of high rise apartment blocks... so ...

... I'd need to leave the hostel by at least 4:30-5 if I catch the subway, then I'd need to be up at at least 3ish to allow time to get ready and make sure I had everything ready, so it was easier to come out the night before and just chill, I can check my bag in at 3am anyway so I'll just kick it till then. Oh but don't tell my mum, she won't b pleased, I'll tell her when I get home along with the car accident story haha.So my thoughts on New York, ...

... since Sandie was here last but seems to still have some bargains. I buy another bag! And some Lancome products which are about 40% cheaper than at home & also get a double gift with purchase. At night we head over the East River back into Queens for a roof top dinner with the most awesome view of the Manhattan skyline. With $5 cocktails during happy hour & a very delicious dinner it was a fantastic finish to our first day. I fall into bed with a smile ...

... and this was a good pride we bought it.
Our last place of interest we had booked for today was the "High Line". We headed back on the subway and headed there. It's an old train line that has been converted into a walk way. Part of it garden, some sitting areas, some eateries (not many though).
Made our way back to subway and found a pizza place for some dinner, on the way.
We then caught train home. Long day and lots walking yet ...
