Friday we set off to visit Wisconsin Rapids where Tom and Joey had lived for 36 years. First stop was a visit to Phil Brown at his cranberry farm, where we were given a talk about the history of cranberry industry and how they are grown. Another travel day today, although not the smoothest!!! Left hotel to go to airport and gps would not take us on the freeway and kept wanting to go down every backstreet of Chicago. Managed to change all the preset preferences and finally got us on the freeway. We carried on thru Wisconsin but on the spur of a moment we decided to make a little detour north, to the Smoky Hills. Michelle found a State Forrest that sounded interesting. This whole area is covered with many Lakes large and small, but one hardly travels for a couple of miles without seeing water.
