When we got to the light house it was closed but we were able to walk from the parking lot to the steps of the light house along a road that overlooks the Pacific Ocean and rock formations containing numerous varieties of "rock plants". We also saw black tail and mule deer.

We drove straight to mount Diablo to see if we could park for the night but it was to be $40 in total which we thought was pretty extortionate so decided to park outside a good old Safeway to cook our instant spaghetti meatballs (Jenny's favourite out of our instant meal choices). ... circled an area called Ghirardelli Square. It was so easy to find and saw that it was just a shopping area. So, I decided to check out Municipal Pier. So nice to see the bay. As I was walking on the pier, I could not believe how people were biking up on Russian Hill. Too much work to me.
