... introduced ourselves and said we knew Rachel Day and were staying with her friend George. It turned out George was the sous chef there so he came out to say hello. We had the farmers market 3 course meal that Rachel had told us about. They only do it on a Tuesday so that was lucky. ... the political prisoners who have been incarcerated around the world. He does this by using lego blocks to create their portraits. There are at least 50 portraits spread out over the floor in the building. It is quite amazing. He also has another exhibit where he displays his kites. Well worth the visit.

Great Meal, super nachos and a fantastic view. After our tour we had a good time relaxing here before heading home.

We struggled to stay awake last night and fell asleep relatively early, woken momentarily a few times by the noise of people in the hallway and rooms, and outside. We were awake at 7am. The day was cloudless and forecast to be 28'. Our mission was to get to the Fishermans Wharf area about 9am to get our Hop On Hop Off and Alcatraz tickets. ... the bridge once the park ranger has gone isnt what i wanted to hear. We didnt have any other choice so went down and had a look and it there was actually a really posh lookin bunch of houses there so though lets do it, did feel weird sleepin with the van pointing up a hill. This morning saw us leave the east coast after one day and journey to the west coast. We got up early so that we could have breakfast at the airport ahead of the flight. The hotel shuttle took us to JFK airport in good time so we went through check in. The tickets were issued with no seat reservation; only a comment to see the agent at the desk.
