While the area is slightly depressed, the hotel is extremely clean and safe. The rooms are large and very clean too.

After we arrived back at the hotel, there was a wine reception in the front lobby. Now normally I don’t drink much wine - but this was free wine….so today I drank wine!
After dinner, we jumped on the cable car again and went to Union Square. Some of the stores were closed, so we will have to revisit this area for some retail therapy!

That night we went to AT&T park to watch the baseball, the San Francisco Giants vs the Colorado Rockies. The game was very close and actually came down right to the last ball, although it was a huge anti-climax as the Giants ended up losing! The game went to about 11:30pm, which is rather late as they usually finish ...

... We're staying on Maui, which I've been to once before with my family. That time we mostly stuck to some very touristy stuff; however, the family that is bringing me along is pretty much native to Maui. I'm really excited to get the insider look at the island.

Also, this trip is giving me an opportunity to test out the new duffle bag I just got for weekend traveling when I'm in Europe so I don't have to bring a huge suitcase. I was ...
