While the area is slightly depressed, the hotel is extremely clean and safe. The rooms are large and very clean too.

... Open the door to our hostel dorm and who's there? an old Asian man in the bunk below me. Can't make this **** up!! Weather all quite bearable actually, for me, being the whitest man in the country, I'm coping quite well. We go for a donder, walk past some proper stereotypical black guys, jeans hanging down their ****, playing a tune on their phone and rapping away. The "N" word was mentioned ALOT. And I ...

Felicity & Georgie were very patient as they were not allowed to taste and had to hang around waiting for our tour to move on.

At 9am, an extremely friendly man from the consulate came outside and informed us that for the next two days, the consulate would be making an exception and processing visas in their offices. Before receiving numbers and walking inside, our papers were checked and all of our belongings were left outside. We crept inside the building, quiet as ants and as anxious as 16 year olds in the DMV. “Number E01” came from counter number one. ...

Stuey declared his shins, calves and thighs were sore from all the walking citing this as my fault! It would be more in line to blame the person who mapped out this city in my view. Flat is far from the norm here. We headed down to Fisherman's Warf for dinner sitting in a restaurant overlooking the harbour, which provided a view of fishing boats and ...
