And then we had an adventure!

We had booked a rental car by phone a few weeks before we left to be picked up in Zagreb and driven slowly down to the coast to Dubrovnik. Little did I realize that the car company was planning on charging us 25% in taxes when we picked it up! As we freaked out, only hours before we were supposed to pick it up, once again the sweet girl working at the hostel helped us out! She gave us the name of another car ...

We watched a little bit of the match Croatia - Mexico, but we left during the break.
We went to bed on time, because we want to get up in time in the morning. We are going to visit the Plitvice Jezera. Should be great!

... up for the afternoon. So many churches and cathedrals in our travels and I get selective about which ones to spend visiting, by what I think is different or special. St Donat meet this by reading the description of its simplicity and incorporation of early Roman features. St Donat was built in 9BC on the site of the Roman Forum from 1-3BC. Two Roman columns are incorporated in each of the external wall and internal pillars, and broken pillars rubble and temple alters ...

      Natural wonders wander

... with waterfalls dotted throughout, and just lovely scenery. There was even one waterfall towards the end, literally named 'The Big Waterfall’ where we spent a bit of extra time just chilling out at. We managed to do the trail in less than the stated 3-4 hours, so after a quick shuttle back to the entrance where we started, we were able to replenish ourselves with some cool Croatian beer J Afterwards we wandered back ...
