    ... Mt Fuji.

    That pretty much filled in the day as we got back to our accommodation just in time for dinner. I enjoyed today's meal a bit more than last nights.

    Now we have packed all our stuff ready to head off to Takayama tomorrow and I've spent some time relaxing in the Onsen for the last time.

    ... we have a private one. None of us are keen to go naked with other people.

    Dinner was very interesting we had a traditional Japanese meal I didn't like the seafood but the pork and chicken dishes were really nice.

    After dinner we returned to our room and I finally got to enjoy some time in the onsen.

    Now I'm relaxed and ready to sleep.

    ... a couple towns and down an ancient Cedar pathway, then did the entire trip in reverse. Glad we did it but wouldn't do it again - it was a bit too touristy and too much work. It was also too cloudy to see Mt Fuji. Tonight we had a shabu-shabu dinner, basically steak and vegetable fondue, which you cook and then dip in one of two sauces.     The botanical garden in particular overwhelmed me with the breadth of natural beauty on display. Walking among reeds and flowers in an enormous sunlit field, I felt so keenly that I've been 'doing it wrong' with an endless slog of overtime hours and wasted PTO.
