Man Alive- it`s been busy here since I last wrote!! On the move every fews days!! So, we left Rio de Janiero (waving goodbye to the mother and Susan) and headed for Ilha Grande. The journey was probably one of our worst so far! We left late because we were all feeling so hungover after are many caiparinhas the night before, and then the really crowded and bumpy boat took fooorever to get back to Angra! ... up and says we're going to a fashion show. He gives me vip entry pass and we go. Lots of girls drinks and and fashion parade. Next we're going to his friends birtday party where he tells me, help yourself to the black label whiskys and red bull on the tables Then we're going to club liquid which is massive, full of lots of full people and I meet his 4 friends, which 3 are plastic surgeons and one other type of surgeon. Lots of drinks and had a ball.

... in town in the shape of a castle .. Its not so friendly, and we cant sleep until after 4 when the band stops playing in the adjacent bar. So we decide to sample some Foro ...a Brazilian dance which is a bit like lambada at the local club....its fun but after a while i feel a bit daunted by the casual pick up feeling of the place and return to the castle to watch a band play English rock music....we have just one hours sleep before out early morning departure to Salvador...

Hei hooo Drei Laender in drei Tagen... Nicht schlecht wuerde ich sagen! Aber ja doch gestern war auch noch ein ganz anderer spezieller Tag: Aufstehen bitte: Und zwei, drei: Tritts im Morgenrot daheeer............... ... anymore. But I'm paid a daily "bonus" for each day that I work. Which is much better than before when I was paid the same whether I worked 5 or 7 days a week. I'm more likely to work 7 days a week than 4 or 5 when I'm traveling. I'm very happy with this new arrangement. When I'm not working, I can be anywhere I want to be visiting friends and family or working on the trucks, instead of worrying about getting stuff done in the office.

Monday November 26th, to Foz do Iguaçu Decisions, decisions. There is a direct bus to Foz from Paranagua on Tuesdays and Saturdays, only 68R, (normal fare is 115R) but we were reluctant to spend the savings on another night in Ilha do Mel in case there were no tickets left for tomorrow. Besides it was very overcast = more beach pests, and Barb has itches all over her legs ...

... been so lucky, but in most cases it was their own stupid fault. South America's Turn We have kind of semi-looped this large continent, starting at the tip in Colombia, where it joins Central America, and heading down the Andes spine of the continent, all the way to Torres de Paine in the South of Chile. From there we started to head back up, seeing the north of Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and the South of Brazil. It's involved an incredible amount of bus ...

... after, really. I had found a bike, a helmut, packed my lunch and was halfway to my waterfall when one of the guides who had been turning up everywhere i was all week came flying down the hill after me. (the brazilian guys were teasing me that I had a fan) So, he turned out to be a really nice guy and we were having fun for half the day. Doiwnhill riding on a bike without shocks was fun but painful. ... Got to see some acai too (and eat some after). We stopped at a cool church which was an enclosed room of bamboo shoots with a straw roofed hut for people to sit under. On the way home we stopped at a small house off the side of the road where the family makes homemade jams and cachaca. I tried about 7 different kinds of cachaca, mmmm. Its Friday night and I don´t think too much is happening in the small town of Sao Jorge, so a few beer and I´m off to bed :)

... and rolling hills. It rains atleast once a day and its really hot, my bed feels wet when I sleep. The pousadas are all expensive (compáred to low season) but mine is really nice. Its $22cnd a night, includes an awesome breakfast and has a pool, a pool table and lots of cool little sitting areas. I have a room to myself to relax and a veranda with a hammock. This place is one of my favorites in Brazil, actually it might be my favorite, I love it here.
