... we rode through the national park and forest where I found a path with my name on it. We then cut through to Den Burg to get back to where the boat was docked in the harbor in Oudeschild. We never did see a the others until we got to the boat. The target time was 4:00 pm we had about a half hour to spare. The boat sailed out of port to make the locks before it got too rough. We rode approximately 50 ...

Tonight dinner was a seafood theme-- appetizers were mussel croquettes followed by fish and chips with mint peas and dessert being a chocolate mousse with a lemon topping. Delicious again! charges in South Africa. The difference here is that the people are prepared to
          do something about it.

... main street (Koudum is tiny!) for a coffee and a browse of the menu. What a find! We met Igor the owner who is Italian and told us all about how he moved here 2 years ago and had to train himself to translate from Italian to English to then translate to Dutch. Now he thinks in Dutch so it's hard for him to think of English! He helped us design our own pizza and we ...

Set off by half 1 to drive up north to Friesland. The journey got greyer and greyer as we got further north. It was a nice cruise over lots of bridges seeing great examples of some of Holland's waterways. We arrived at the campsite and, happy we knew how to find it, headed to the shops before checking in. A near miss at a low bridge; ...
