I don't know if you know this about me, but I've always wanted to be on the Amazing Race. I have visions of running over the finish line with Tom and winning the 1,000,000 prize. As I watch the show I see teams having such difficulty getting from place to place using public transportation, which is usually how they lose the race. Like this city more every day! It has a nice vibe about it and I'm guessing summer temps help. The people are friendly and helpful. Have discovered a new oxymoron - short Dutchman. They're a handsome race - plenty of eye candy for you girls! The city centre is well connected with a network of trams and we're quite getting used to them. Thurs night dinner was at (Indonesian) Sama Sebo. Food was varied and good. After a feed Anon in the ...

... Once I was inside and it was sunny outside again (perfect
timing that) I finally got to see the paintings I studied in
          College.

And wow. What a story. What a history.

I've got more appreciation for not only Vincent, but also his
brother and his nephew for making sure his art was
          seen.

... What did I see? Only the cutest town that I instantly fell in love with! Any town in Europe that has a shoe store with my size will instantly become a favorite, but there was so much more! The pottery was beautiful, the buildings quaint, and the town center lovely. I ate lunch at an outdoor cafe in the center (and here it was sunny!), not just any lunch either. It was only the best organic burger with cheddar cheese (an unheard of treat in Italy) on ...

... like you got turned out, are upside down, in a world that is still moving all around you. And the hardest part is figuring out how to get turned back over to get back into life. This painting also has the stark background contrast. Upon looking at it, I couldn't decide if it was chosen to almost represent sea water or just a color that makes the situation of the crab stick out. All of his floral paintings and still life works were exquisite. One still life that ...
