    ... I am glad. We met up at the central station and went to get coffee nearby there. Even though everyone speaks good English it was still nice to be with someone Dutch who could read the signs for me haha.     Sun 27th July- joined our cruise, unpacked, had dinner and established that we were in the minority on the boat being largely outnumbered by North Americans.     Well we can now reveal our trip back to the UK to attend Caroline's surprise birthday party - had to keep it under wraps in case she saw the blog. We left Amsterdam early Saturday (slight hiccup when we discovered that the free ferry to Cental Station we planned to take to get the train to the airport didn't run till 9.30 on Saturday morning but we eventually made it ok and landed in Manchester about 11.30.
