    Absolutely wonderful day in Wer*****ode. This quintessential German town dates back to 1121 and sits at the base of the Harz Mountains. The quaint and vibrant buildings helped the city earn its nickname as the "colorful town of the Harz."

    ... itself. Either that, or we need a garage. We then got stuck in miles and miles of crawling road works then finally reached our turn off the highway and it was closed. So we had to take a detour which cost us another 30 miles. We'd looked at a map and figured Lüneberg to Erfurt had CZ somewhere nicely in the middle so it shouldn't be an issue.
