... friends from SF. The boys' soccer teammates were coming- their parents are from Italy, have a house on the area and were visiting, and agreed to meet us for the day? We were so excited! The called when they arrived and he says "ok we just parked in the main lot, see it on the map? Then there is a bridge and a canal and we are right there!" Uh ok, a bridge, a canal... Right, helpful! ... time - Gelato. It's summer, it hot, you need something cool, sweet and taste divine. It's the perfect summer solution really. Jasmine purchased a map and we waited and had to validate our tickets at the dock. It cost18€ for 12 hours. The boat arrived and we hopped on and went on the ride. I loved it. It wasn't the gondolas but we got to take pictures of the city and go around as well. It's a pity the water is green because it just looks beautiful. Seeing the city on a boat ...

I made it! From car to cab to planes to boat to Venice. phew. Took a short nap and am now off to get "lost". I walked by my hotel about 3 times...I blame the jet lag. :) My agenda this evening is a nice meal, some exploring, and gelato. My hotel room is so adorably quaint. ...
