... a memorial which contained piles of dirt which had the ashes of the victims in it. We stood in silence, said Kaddish and looked around.... Silence was amoung us and then anger... Life is so precious and we have to life it to the fullest. This is what we owe these people that lived through this horrific time.

... They were made of wood so were very hot and stuffy. Lots of people lived at the prison camp so it was very crowded although the camp was vast. There were about 100 big huts there during the war. There are now about 20. All the barbed wire fencing was still there too.
