Day 21: Travelled to cologne where the Sturmats were at the train station to meet me. Abit of background.. me and larry met them on the ferry coming over from england and they invited me to stay for a couple of nights. There hospitality was amazing... After walking around Cologne for abit we drove to Wuppertal where the girl Antje will be going ...

Another foggy morning, and I really do not want to leave. However, we are off. Me back to Houston, Claudia back to work. A big resounding "BOO" from both of us! Germany was wonderful, and I highly recommend it to anyone ---&gt; great food ...

... which was very deceiving - it served Mexican food. I was expecting Cuban . . . haha oh well! We didn't eat any food anyway - too much Schwarzwelderkirsch . . . we just had some drinks. Er, they had some drinks, I had one and a half. I knocked one of the drinks all over me and my new shirt. Not necessarily the "Euro Look" I was going for. A fun night, but now it is getting ever so close to the goodbyes.

... t too exciting, but it was nice to be doing normal day-to-day things with Claudia - pushing the shopping cart around, picking out what you want for dinner. Much better than online chatting . . . <br> Claudia made some goulash with pasta for dinner (YUM!) and I started to organize my things for the trip back. We realized that two weeks had gone by far too quickly. Tomorrow will be a day in Paderborn!!

... for our troubles to buy some food, but they didn't tell us that it had to be used all at once. So, about 45 minutes before we were going back in through security, we went to Starbucks. We got some coffee and a hazelnut chocolate muffin (I will just abbreviate fat American from this point on with FA, so the muffin was for the FA), but it only used up about 10 Euros. So we got two bottles of apple juice and a bottle of water ...

It was time to some serious hill climbing.... And my legs did realize we are into it now. The top of the hill seemed to be around the corner, every time I took one. Mental strenght helped me out here! But once up there beautiful views were my reward! Never new I could sweat this much... Of course I have to choose the tropical week to ...

So sorry for not updating properly. We spent a lovely week with Craigs grandparents and family in Germany. It was a nice time and his Grandmother, in her 80's kept us really busy eating her delious homemade food. We had breakfast at 8:00. A three course lunch at noon. 2:30 was tea and cake and 7o clock dinner. It was really wonderful and we had a nice time relaxing on the farm and walking around some of the local sights with Craigs ...
