      ... now it was dark so we wrapped up very warmly and joined the rest of the people in the town in viewing the castle & blossoms by floodlight. Being Saturday evening it was extremely busy but everyone is very polite and considerate so there is no pushing and shoving which makes it very pleasant.       ... the lead from the locals. It was pretty cold so we decided to come back tomorrow when a fine evening is forecast. We watched our bed mats being expertly laid on the dot of 7pm.       Monday was our last day in Japan. We were flying out till later that evening so we had the morning in town then caught the bus and shinkansen back to Tokyo.       The nice thing about the rain on Wednesday was that it turned into 5-10 cms of fresh snow overnight!
