      ... thirtieth birthdays go that was pretty ****en sweet.

      After that amazing meal and present we returned to our room where I enjoyed our private out door spring. I'll remind you that it is currently snowing here. It is negative degrees our of the sprint and very very positive in the water. What an amazing day today was.

      ... yet they still have February and March to get through. The forecast for the alps today was rain so it turned out to be a perfect day to leave after a bluebird day on our final day. Managed to get some great footage on the Gopro but I'll save that for the home video. The video footage on the blog site is from my iPhone.       ... of hiking up and skiing the mellower slopes we had hiked up two days before. It was not to be as the upper lifts were closed due to storm and winds. Back into the car we set off back to Norikura and the Wakaguri trees of our first day. And it was windy and stormy. Lars found great snow as usual and we had some great skiing.       ... enough to have the classic siting of the kamoshika on a knoll staring at us. As it was getting warmer, no time was wasted getting out of the steep areas. Finally, we did a variety of skiing skinned and unskinned, and survived the "luge run" a skinny slightly icy track out to the road where taxi pick up is common.
