... horrific ones too. There is an English theatre, it's closed at the moment but outside is a cupboard with novels in and on it a sign saying that they are free to take. They are all in English and make an effort to entice others to read and learn our language. Imagine a Polish theatre in London that did that. How would that go down. ... self-service area, restaurant and beer garden during a Bavarian evening. I felt pretty drunk after drinking 1L of beer! We left Hofbräuhaus just before 7, and Dylan wanted to stop at Schneider's for a beer but the lippy waitress said we couldn't stay unless we both drank! There we found some delicious "fruit balls", probably about four times the size we would make. One was a fig and walnut, and the other sultana (maybe), with orange and pistachio. Simply delicious. It was a great place to take lots of photos looking down on the market.

This morning we were met by Jeannette bright and early on a very wet day. One of our first stops was to buy €3 umbrellas in order to keep dry. Best investment ever. Although it rained most of the day it was not cold, and we enjoyed seeing the sights, in between several coffee and cake stops and lunch along the way. We had a wonderful personal guide who was with us from 8 in the morning until around 6:30 pm when we had shared a drink ...
