... out of the sight of land. We had one stop at Mariehamn on an island off the Finland coast to set down and pick up passengers and cars. Eleven and a half hours went really quickly and we enjoyed our trip, or one day cruise as Neville called it.
We stayed the night at a rest area about halfway between Turku and Helsinki.
We returned to the ship so that we could begin the dreaded activity of PACKING. Because the suitcases have to be outside the door at 10 PM, the challenge is to keep out a) the stuff we'll need tonight and b) the stuff we'll wear tomorrow. We usually manage to forget something, but we did well this time.

For the first time, straight after Video Girl got on board, she went straight up to the Windjammer Cafe and had a cup of tea and scones as she wrote her blog watching the the ship leave the harbour.
She berated herself whilst stuffing her face.
She can do that very successfully.
She has had plenty of practice.
