... and then had a quick look around duty free before heading to the gate. I had planned to buy some alcohol two for £20 but my hand luggage was to heavy and with holding a laptop there was no chance I was able to carry it so I had to forget about the deal. Once on the plane from Edinburgh to Paris I fell asleep for most of the duration and woke up around 15 minutes before landing.

Well my Erasmus adventure was finally beginning and day one certainly was an adventure. I woke up on the Thursday morning at 3 to get ready but it hadn't finally hit me that I was away for three months. So many emotions were going through my mind I tried not to think about it. I left the house at 3 45am with my mum and uncle Fred to head to Edinburgh airport where I was meeting Natasha. A very quiet and peaceful evening, blessed with no midges as it was cold but this made the skies clearer and the light and colours spectacular. We walked a little, enjoyed our evening meal with some wine and a good, long sleep. En route to Tampere now for a look see and perhaps a shop before we find somewhere for the night, we shall see! ... God can use us in ways that we can by no means hold any credit for, for any mark of achievement on our part. And though in just being we have no way to directly measure the capacity we have been able to help and encourage, He gives us little glimpses through the joy and appreciation of others, leaving us overwhelmingly grateful...and perfectly humbled by his beautiful, beautiful grace.

Finland has certainly stolen a piece of our hearts.
