23 May 2014: Today was mostly just another travel day as we made the mundane bus trip from Turku to Tampere. Arriving in the late afternoon, we threw are bags on our backs and walked about a mile to our hostel, which was nothing special, but did have a decent view of the busy street just below the window. I found that before going into a Finnish sauna it is good to ask alot of questions, the first one being can I keep my trunks on. They said "yes". It was amazing. You go in the sauna, then get out, walk outside, walk along a rock down ...

I awoke at 0830. When did the bands in the bars stop, when did the bikers go home? Dunno. Little short of an act of war, as defined by the Geneva Convention, would have disturbed my slumbers last night. Call it jet lag (or should that be ferry lag?). By the time we actually got up at 0930, we realised that we had overstayed our allotted 12 hours free parking. We didn't want to raise the ire of whoever is responsible for protecting the good ...
