    We spent a few hours in Helsinki the next day. A nice waterfront area around the old cobblestoned market square. There was a lot of market stalls, selling souvenirs and food. There were several cruise ships tied up as well so there were a lot of people about.

    There was a large park nearby with a guy playing an electric violin. We ate our lunch there ...

    A very quiet and peaceful evening, blessed with no midges as it was cold but this made the skies clearer and the light and colours spectacular. We walked a little, enjoyed our evening meal with some wine and a good, long sleep. En route to Tampere now for a look see and perhaps a shop before we find somewhere for the night, we shall see!     The hotel is perfectly acceptable, clean and Scandinavian, although the rooms are a little small. But the very thick curtains really help with the short nights in summer.

    By Paul I'm now in a smaller city north of Helsinki, called Tampere. It's the home of 2 of Finlands oldest saunas. I've included a photo of 1 I went to, Rauhaniemi sauna. I found that before going into a Finnish sauna it is good to ask alot of questions, the first one being can I keep my trunks on. They said "yes". It was amazing.     It has been just so incredible to see the way that God is providing for us and the way he has blessed us and grown us during our time here. Though it makes saying good-bye all the harder, our lives have been so enriched by the people we have met, the encouragement they have given and the inspiration they have been.
    We have been reminded again of just how important it is to be as it is to do...and left in wonder of the way ...
