Not necessarily because I want to, because I need to. Results day is the 20th and I am better placed in the UK where I can act quickly if needed. In addition it has dawned on me like the proverbial penny dropping that I don't want to be alone for good or bad news. That ...
Saint-Girons, Midi-Pyrénées, France asummersday... me pretty much in the wilderness. I'll need to carry more food (Richard: do you have any tips/advice for the next section? Any would be very welcome) and at 12:15 I'm going to do paraglide of a mountain strapped to an adult.. yippee.
Well, that's enough waffle, I'm off to the supermarket to buy some cds to copy my photos to and then back to the campsite to put on my boots for the flight :-)
Any news from anyone?

... a variety of colours, incredibly beautiful
and not forgetting the dreaded horseflies which if it wasn't for yours truely would have died of starvation weeks ago!
Well, that's all folks... I think someone is waiting for the internet and it's bloody expensive.
Oh forgot to mention, I'm giving up some of my electronics to reduce the weight of Ridley, I'm sending home my IPod. Still holding on to my comfy 1kg blowup bed :-) times aren't quite that hard.

... of a shower in the stall. After deliberating on how to use this unique toilet, I realized that you literally squatted over the floor and used the metal bars to help support yourself. Needless to say we both are really starting to appreciate a typical American bathroom. After a small detour through Toulouse we made it back to our hotel without a problem. We both are more confident in our navigating skills after our road trip.
Luchon, Midi-Pyrénées, France naslund13... had missed not seeing it each day. I was suffering from freebie withdrawal. It had been quite some time since anyone pegged a hat, key-ring or pack of cards at my head. We were soon surrounded by Mountains and our altimeter was climbing rapidly. As we approached the town we had planned to stop at some kind of madness took Joel over and he drove past several fantastic spots in search of something better. We were very quickly on the other side of the feed station and ...
Bagneres-de-Bigorre, Midi-Pyrénées, France crocag8or... school play ground in Arreau. We had too many beers that night, got up n the morning and rode up this massive hill called the Peyresourde - 2 hours of back breaking work saw us reach the summit. Only to then put on our wind jackets and winter gear because of the cold temperature.... then there was the massive heartpumping rush as we sat between 70 mph and ...
Arreau, Midi-Pyrénées, France craigdonohueOn our way back from Carcassonne, we stopped in Figueres, France to visit the Salvador Dali museum. Dali was a surrealist so a lot of his works are strange and off the wall. Kevin didn't really get it but I thought it was very intersting thanks to my art history class. Take a look for yourself and decide what you think.
Figures, France kevnjac... Three: Hail and Storms Cold. Crazy weather. Lying on the couch watching Australia beat South Africa in the Rugby. Bring on the World Cup. Lying in the main street of Luchon at 2 am taking photos of ourselves. Can't remember whose idea that was, things were a bit hazy by then. Thanks to Seb and Lozza for your hospitality during our stay, we had a great time. See you in September. Maybe Annette will make another dessert like the one we had this time. Hehehe.
Luchon, France peteandmandy... we failed to remember that any map of Barcelona is not a simple piece of navigation... and hit roadworks. Anyway,we made it, not a scratch on it and only one person who quite rightly yelled and honked at me as part of my learning curve about traffic lights inexplicably placed midway around roundabouts. Driving in Spain. There is no substitute. * * * We were both a little nervous as Iain first grasped the steering wheel of our shiny, new, azul Citroen ...
