Today Lisa, Alexa, and I got observed by our University of Wisconsin - Whitewater Professor (Dr. Kolb). She got to see us teaching English to our fourth grade classes. It was nice to be able to show her around the school so that she could see what we do each day!

Last week, our cooperating teacher had asked us to prepare a PowerPoint about ourselves and facts about the United States. We asked each of the classes what they would like to know about the U.S. and we used their responses as a guide to make the PowerPoint. The topics included: our family, our houses, our hobbies, our cars, our pets, places we've visited, stores we shop at, animals in nature, U.S. schools and students, our schools, ...
... ate dinner at a pizza place that is connected to the hostel. After dinner, we all just hung out and worked on projects.

... arriving with us and the temperatures were starting to drop.
They left us at our hotel so that we could get settled and Tommy came back about an hour later to pick us up for lunch at their apartment and the activities for the rest of the day.
Tina had prepared a delicious artichoke soup for us. We caught up on the latest news and talked about the purchase of their new home. They will be moving in March.

... and clean and you don't feel like you could get killed down there, unlike the other ones. You use the fob to reserve a time and you can't get into any of the rooms unless it is the time for the room that you reserved so you don't need to worry about people taking your clothes. That was just a mess.
It's been a hectic week, that's for sure, but I am curious to see what this upcoming week will bring in the classroom. Hopefully we can help out ...
