... also marks my first time leaving Denmark since I arrived two weeks ago, wow!

Fun Fact: Many years ago, Denmark acquired Greenland in a land grab between the other Scandinavian countries. Since Greenland is a colony of the Kingdom of Denmark and is located near Iceland in the Atlantic Ocean, one would think a Greenlandic person would look European or the typical blonde hair, blue eyes. However, I was informed by my Danish mom, Sanne, they actually look more Asian!

We landed at 12pm Denmark time (6am EST) safely this afternoon! Before exiting the plane, Nick was insistent on eating "brunch" and was quite grumpy until we found him his "egg breakfast sandwich". After this event, we decided to be adventurous and take public transportation to our hotel. ... hippy types set up camp in an old army barracks. Now around 900 people live there and have their own governing council and are pretty much a law unto themselves. As they don't tend to cause too much trouble and don't allow hard drugs, the government allow it. Its great tourist attraction and they host a lot of concerts so the arty, music types also love the place. We are pizza by the canals and the wandered ...

... with a Japanese root (it was the stalks of the rood sliced) I don't know how to spell infused with elder-flower with radishes.

This was such a good meal. I enjoyed every but of it.

Dessert was chocolate semi-freddo with almonds and salty caramel. Also amazing. Very rich but delicious.

After the meal we went to the hostel and to bed.
