... Kalmar and it was still rainy and bleak, though the countryside we drove through was beautiful and leafy green. We arrived at Kalmar late at night and it was truly horrible weather, windy and freezing. Luckily our hotel was only a minute away and the room was sooooo cosy and warm and absolutely lovely.

Today we were up and at the ferry terminal in Sassnitz Germany, as in yesterday's blog, this is the area where the ferries crooss the Baltic to several other boarding countries. I had pre-bought our tickets , so we had no trouble entering and getting our boarding pass. We were assigned lane #6 and not finding it we assumed that the lines separated after boarding.
