      ... experience. It takes 25 minutes and during that time it felt as if we were the only people on the planet. A thick fog had descended around the base of the mountain and once our chairlift had cleared it, it felt as if we were in outer space. For miles around we could only see stars and white mountains The only reminder of civilisation was when small towns' lights created a faint glow in the fog far below.

      ... be too cloudy to see the lights so we went inside to warm up a little bit. There we got this little guided tour and learned a bit about the Northern Lights. By the time we went back outside with the group the lights were active! It was really cool! We got to see three shooting stars too while we were looking at them.       ... did see a band across the sky that was the aurora, it was moving a little and was slightly green in colour to those who had good eyes, but mostly it resembled thin high cloud. It lasted only a very short time, 5 to7 minutes.
