          ... in to the museum - Sami, Viking, and more recent history. Highlight was the Overhogdal Viking tapestry, (800-1100 AD) thought to pre-date the Bayeux tapestry. Beautiful. Wish we had had a second day to absorb all of the museum exhibits.

          So much fitted into one day, thanks to our great hosts. First went to see Stone Age rock carvings in the river rocks at Glosa. Then to a farm where the ladies were making traditional flat bread - delicious. Stopped at a lookout to admire Swedish mountain cows - looked like reverse Fresians, white and black, not black and white!

          Left Orsa and set off up north. Travelled across country, dodging intermittent torrential rain, lunch at Svenstavik. Arrived at the site of a cave, after a 200 metre steep uphill climb.           We were up early to catch the bus to the airport and in doing so made the bus driver grumpy as we did not have a ticket for the bus….all good! We easily checked in then waited for our Ryan air flight to Stockholm.

          Good old Ryan air flew us to an airport 100km away form Stockholm, so we found a bus to take us into the city.

          So I had some period mishaps on the way to Ostersund on two out of three pants. I dont care if you think that.s gross. it.s what happened suck it up.
