    Tartu Song Festival

... didn't know but it was lovely. Finally it all ended with a fantastic rendition of Tartu Marss much to our delight! The massed choirs were wonderful and everyone was doing Mexican waves and pounding their fists from their hearts to the air, caps in hand. Even after the band had stopped playing everyone was walking off singing it acappella and it was really special. A stunning evening with outstanding entertainment, a truly excellent send off to our time in ...

... for the weekend. We have rented a house and there is cross country skiing as well as snow tubing and a sauna. I'm really excited to try the tradition of the sauna then snow swimming?? I have no clue with to expect. But I'm sure it'll be a blast. I'm off to bed now though, still have some reading to do, then I'm attending Fitness +45 class in the morning. I'm really thankful for this opportunity to study here in Tartu. It really is a great place with some really awesome people. ...

I have been spending much of my travel time (unfortunately!) scoping out possible programs and schools which could suit my fancy for next ...

Kids love to play and so it didn't take long for us to find out that there is a "big kids" playground not far from Tartu. About a 45 minute bus ride away, there is a high ropes course. If you don't know what a high ropes course is, it's a series of rope/wire obstacles that are performed high in the trees. You wear a harness and attach yourself to the wires while you balance and maneuver through this ...

Today marked the first goodbye. Our dear friends Jared and Kirsten will be leaving for Greece tomorrow to visit Kirsten's family and we won't be in Tartu upon their return. We all decided it would be fun to go out together for one last hoorah!

We ended up going out to La Dolce Vita, the great little pizza place the roomies and I went to during our first week here. I haven't been back since and it was funny how the restaurant seemed ...
