    We decided after a couple of days of constant rain to move our location. We left in the middle of one of the worst storms we had gotten since arriving. It had rained so hard and the thunder shook the ground for hours through the night. After a five hours drive up and over every mountain in the Nicoya Peninsula, we arrived at our new home.     ... my bag was not on my person was for yoga and it was only 5 feet from me at the school. Last place I remember seeing it was the bank, didn't recall seeing it while paying for lunch afterwards nor in the souvenir shop for sunglasses.... Hmmm, hopefully the banker enjoyed talking to me in my limited but proficient Spanish enough to call the school or someone else... It was my sheer blind trust that people are basically good that kept me from crying this ...

    ... went to Bagaces (town up north) with Nena and her family for the day - some sun and fun. The place is called Thermal Mania...and THIS is where I want to have my 50th party...and my 45th...46th... It's a spa/resort with natural thermal and mud pools that are a product of the volcano miravalles just NE of town. the volcano is very active and smokes all day long...and is about a 25 minute hike from the spa/resort. when i say spa/resort it's really nothing ...

    ... big or major but it was such a big deal here in this little town. So the school's anniversary was a really big deal and it was a cool to experience that festival as well.

    Finally it was time for Checkers to leave. We said our goodbyes outside of Subway in downtown San Jose, and all of us had tears in our eyes! It seems like we've been down here forever but yet the time went so fast.

    I'm going to miss that kid!

    ... good thing. We had to return to reality as one night there was an entire weeks accommodation in hostel world. So after check out we decided to stay and use the resort facility's as much as possible because in a matter of hours it was back to the hostel life. I giggled as I thought about asking the concierge to call us a taxi and him asking "where are you heading" and then my response being "the pack packers proven the road please." So very funny!! ...
