... hungry black flies. The mosquitoes are bold and aggressive, no messing around, they go straight for the bite, landing on hands, in ears, nose, hair. I had forgotten to bring the insect repellent and we left without putting any on, we hadn't needed it elsewhere in Canada so far and had been lulled into a false sense of security. As such, and despite it being a sunny and warm day, both Kirsty and I were wearing our hoodies with ...

Left Ottawa at 8am this morning and arrived at Parc Omega at about 9.30 to board an open bus to explore the large nature reserve where we anticipated seeing buffalo, bears, deers, wolves and moose which we did although the moose was a bit shy so the photos are a bit dark.I have included just a few of the shots I took. ... the fly past of the jets! , the fire crackers! The Mounties , and the national anthem ( in French of course) I head of with my new Canadian friend Justine and American friend Ty. I see royce at the end of the swim and on the run into the transition tent . He's had a great swim and. Looks focused. I don't think he saw me ... Or my go Royce sign or my pink cowbell! I thought I was pretty obvious ! I head up to transition platform and ...

Slow start this morning. Laundry duties! Very exciting! Nicole did a bike ride and a run. We headed out just before lunch. We drove to what they call old Mont Tremblant. It was where they first had lodges and restaurants. It was quite interesting but no where near as pretty as Mont Tremblant Village.

We then went back to our room to meet Nicole. We then all headed down to the IRONMAN Village so that she could rack her bike. The bike area is now half full. It ...
