Well, today was... eventful.

We woke after a luxurious sleep on proper mattresses and headed down for breakfast. Breakfast was included in the price so we gorged ourselves for a morning of heavy cycling.

After the pannier disaster that occurred yesterday we were very anxious to find out how they would cope this morning. We set off at 9:30am. At 9:40am the second strap broke. Great! We did another fix this time with two pieces of rope instead of one ...

Spoke with the owner Rudolfo about the photos on his wall. The favourite of Ron's is an Italian actress, Liana Orfei, who was a famous dominatrix and known for starring in Hercules movies and being a circus tiger tamer in the movies. After lunch we walked around ...

... fancy dress on, while his friends run through and kick them around. After this we visit the Chile Haus, a 1920s brown-brick building which is said to look like a boat. It’s an interesting building, but we are not sure of the ‘ocean-liner’ resemblance. Next stop is the Speicherstadt and Harbour, where there are seven-storey red-brick warehouses that form the world’s largest continuous warehouse complex. Nearby, we visit the HafenCity InfoCenter, where we learn ...
