Last night in the "Homeland"!
... will be a public holiday for the celebration of the reunification of East and West Germany (ie when the wall came down). As such there was great celebrations this evening, fireworks, parties and celebrations. Amazing what you discover when not looking.
Again I think we were one of only a couple of guests at the hotel ... breatfast was very, very, quite.
Now to head for the bright lights of Amsterdam.

Party- Dutch style
... I've been to Germany but would love to one day explore the rest of the country. We then toured the countryside where I saw lots of thatched cottages. They are so cool! Later we went to dinner and I had beef stroganoff - very good but different than what I'm used to. Wim toured me around the town and saw where he grew up, nice area. They do not get many tourists there.

Back in Germany with our friends
To everyone getting worried because we have not been able to write anything on the travelpod, all I can say ,yes we are back on line at last. Problem was not being able to get internet where we stayed in Holland. My cousin is not on line as such. We did try to purchase mobile internet but that is good if you stay in the one country, but as soon as you go to another country you have to do it all again or go on roaming.
