    ... We hiked up giant flights of stairs and it felt like death the first 20 minutes! We were all huffing and buffing but it was so cool to by walking on these trails that have been there for years when civilization was only able to get to these towns either by boat or the hike. We all got a nice little workout in in the blistering 100 degree weather!

    Up early with the promise of a much brighter day and off to Levanto for a coastal hike to Monterosso. We found the gazillion steps down to Corniglia station and all agreed it would be impossible to climb them with luggage (or at the end of a long day)! Going down them was pretty cruisy - Bonny ran most of the way - but April's knee was giving her some trouble :(
