... The lake was lovely today. The further out you go the clearer the water it was lovely and warm towards the surface and cool but not cold underneath. It was very easy to swim in no current no waves no salt I reckon given enough time I could swim the whole lake but it would take while I don't think you could rush anything here! The park was fun. ...

... the adjacent train station was strangely large for a town of this size? It was, and he explained that it was enlarged, for show, as this was where Hitler and his cronies disembarked in order to get to the 'Eagle's Nest'. If I ever get back here in finer weather, that will be on the cards - as well as featuring largely in modern history, its high mountain location commands stunning views of the local scenery... but not in a pea souper like ...

... try the house wine because the restaurants have contracts with some amazing vineyards in Europe for their house offerings. I was so sad when the last drop of wine and last piece of pappardelle was before me. But after the ridiculously great meal we had to have desert. Yet again we were surprised by the low price and quality. After the meal we both agree this was our best find yet and anyone in the Bavarian or Austrian region needs to try this little Pakistani Italian ...
