... for a walking tour. This is the famous composer Mozart's birthplace so lots of touristy Mozart" nick nacks". The weather was warm / hot with temp 30-31 degrees. Even in the haze the expansive views of the old city below, the river and then the mountains were breathtaking. After the fort we wandered around the old city - stumbled upon an old church ...

Everything was new and for €74 a night for the three of us, was cheap..(well cheaper than what we have experienced) We found a near by Scnitzle house called Scnitzleland. It sounded great and looked the part but was a little disappointing. Basically ...

The hills are alive with the sound of music!! Salzburg begun with a night walking tour around this area of Austria. Snow peaked mountains surrounded us as we viewed some filming locations most identified to the movie based on the Von Trapp family. Dinner allowed us to try some of the more traditional Austrian food, pork schnitzel and dumplings, while we got into the local spirit of beer drinking! After dinner, we tried ...
