      ... We parked in the town and walked to the lake which was very nice in the sunshine.

      At the lake there was a pontoon which was nice to walk out onto, the water was amazingly clear in the lake you could see right to the bottom. There was also a little swimming pool which was part of the lake but with steps down to it - I cant believe people actually swim in there!! It was iced over at the sides which shows how cold it is.       ... lots to do in the castle as there was also a puppet museum and a museum on the history of the castle. They had giant stoves made out of pot which were decorated with lots of artwork, im not sure how they cooked in them though.       Michaela here ... Brrrrrr.... We made it into historic Salzburg after only a 2 hour train trip from Munich.
